I am entering civillian culinary school in Jan. 2 year program.
I want to get some speciality training (pastry chef) but am thinking about enlisting in the Navy for a lil while after I am done with the basic culinary school to get some life experience and money for the specialty school (as it tis pricey).
Good idea or bad idea? I know the Navy does do CS training… would I skip that or just have to do parts of it or what?
I have read on here about CS mainly being mess hall stuff. I can deal with that I think.
((my other idea is just take a 000 loan and go to pastry chef school right after normal culinary school and hope I can get a job on a cruise line within a few years after that. I wanna work on the ocean and get some travel in while I am still young!!!))
not only do i want to travel internationally, & enjoy it ( cuz i know that there are some jobs where the traveling is not really funn or enjoyed) but also, i want to do something important. for example like manage a hotel or resort or be a big deal for a hotel or resort. thats one of my options but i also need other options in other areas. ?? =]
