Question: I want to score last minute flight deals. I am not talking about "I want to go (insert destination here) at the last minute" but "Hey there are 2 or 4 seats left on this flight and we want to sell them for super cheap". It doesn’t matter the destination. Do airlines still do this? Where can I find these deals? HELP! Thanks!

So I might go visit my aunt and uncle who live in charlotte, north carolina next week. I was planning on flying there by my self BUT i’m only 13 and would have to pay an extra 0 round trip, so I was thinking about saying that I was 15 so I could travel without paid assistance. Do you think that I would get busted. I know other airlines let you fly without service at 13 but US Air has the best deal for next week. Btw I have never flown Us air before so my name and age aren’t in their system.

I can be super flexible and wondering if there’s a site or email list that I can use to get last minute fare deals from airlines or travel sites.
Thank you for the tips. Please keep them coming.
To clarify, when I say last minute, I OK with hours notice, not days.

I am trying to book a flight to vegas from oakland california using orbitz, priceline, cheaptickets, etc. and ALL the flights have atleast 1 stop, taking me clear out to New York, Utah, or Miami before hours of lay over and then BACK across the country to Vegas. This requires a full day (or more) of travel and the ticket price doesn’t seem cheap enough to go through all of that.
I had heard airlines were struggling, is this proof of this or am I just not finding the right deals…?
