When I was a child I used to travel all over the United States with my father when he had business meetings, but they were always organized through his company so I never saw him book anything online or make any sort of plans!

I want to have a vacation the week after Thanksgiving. I’m guessing that gas will be going up right before Thanksgiving but will be going back down a few days after (supply vs. demand and whatnot) but is it the same with hotel rates?

I’ve also heard that booking online is cheaper than walking in if you do it on the hotel’s website rather than a travel agency site or something.. which is best? I dated a guy that worked in a hotel and he told me that if you walk in after 3 AM that’s when you’ll get the best deals. But I’m not going to be in the mood to deal with no-vacancy issues after driving for 6 hours! How far in advance should I make a reservation, and how should I do it? Also I am a AAA member, how much of a discount would that be?

What websites/travel agents give the best deals on last minute holidays? Preferably all inclusive? I’ve been on some and it gives you a good price but when you go to book it goes up af ew £100! Help pleasee!
