I’m writing a story for school about traveling during the holidays.

How do you go about it? Do you book a flight early? How early? Are last minute deals better? Do you prefer to drive, take a train or just stay put?

At what point is it just too expensive or too much of a hassle?

Thanksgiving is the most traveled holiday of the year, do you try to get home for those three or four days or would you rather just wait till the Christmas/Hanukkah holiday?

I’m located in Chicago but I’m looking for answers to all of these questions from people all over the world. Thanks for your help!

$: i’m not really familiar with these things, so i don’t really know how things go when you book vacations.

oh my bad the actual question… kso i saw this on one of the last minute deals sites, and it offers pre-packaged deals $: what does it.. include? plane tickets and the whole deal?

anyways, long story short, i’m trying to book a tour for Europe, that HAS to include Barcelona, (my brother and i are pitching in together to get a vacation for my mom, who wants to go to Barcelona BIG TIME, so it would be kinda nice if there was one that doesn’t have sky high prices) it can be 1 room, 1 adult and two kids (i’m 12, my brothers 11.. -.- we do have enough money, newspapers pay us a lot and we’ve been saving up since ’08) , close to the beach, and around 3-4 star hotels.

if that made any sense to anybody, could you please answer? i really need this, and like, if there’s any pro travel agents out there who could help us, it’d be TRULY awesome. (: <3

HI I have a spring break coming very soon (March 18-27). I am looking into last minute deals to find a place to go to. I travel often but not too much on my own. I will be traveling alone this week so I need to go somewhere that is solo traveler friendly.

If anyone is traveling around this time or just has suggestions on where to go or how to find cheap flights from LAX or SAN (San Diego) on those dates. Please let me know. I can’t decide.

I want to travel this year but am finding the ‘last minute’ deals all double in price when they find out I am traveling alone. I think this is ridiculous since I am not requiring two plane tickets! Any suggestions for finding great deals when I want to travel alone? I’m mostly interested in 2-4 day get-aways.
