Why would NASCAR drivers travel between different states to race different races on the same weekend?

One race is up north and one is more south this weekend.
So, why would some drivers do a "double duty" still although the races aren’t at the same track nor even the same state?
It just seems like that would be a hassle and frusterating.
They already have millions $$ in the bank, come on now. Money can’t be everything for them. None of them are hurting.

"You get to have fun and go to try and win a race in Nashville in the Busch Series, and get to travel around in helicopters and do all that stuff. It’s a blast. It’s fun, really. Everybody acts like it’s some big deal. It’s not, really. It’s not like I’m pedaling a bicycle there. I get to ride in the back of an airplane, usually they have food; it’s pretty fun."

money and NASCAR points
MONEY !!!!!!!!
it has to do with sponsorship requirments
plus some are there trying to get a championship only way they will get it
True some of them do have sponsorship priorities to meet whenever possible, but the most part is they love to drive a racecar, and they have the jets and helicopters to take them around so why not?
They love to race as much as they possibly can and because they have the money, they can travel between states to do it.
most of the cup guys wont mess with this one as it is far away, Carl Edwards will since he is leading the points in the bush series, some others might, but this one will primarily be bush runners
theres alot of people who are addicting to racing like a drug. they just cant get enough of it. therefore they go out of their way to get more.
These guys are racers, they have a passion for it. They would race lawn tractors if it meant they had bragging rights! Also remember the fans love it. These drivers get more exposure to the fans. The tracks love it because big name drivers mean more ticket sales. The drivers either take planes or helicopters from race to race. It’s great for them too!
No actually its because the nextel cup series doesnt race at nashville. So the busch series will race at nashville and the nextel cup series will race at pocono. This way both series can race and nascar still makes money. It happens a lot.
and seriously this is 100% the real reason. Drivers would rather race in the same state.
